This is a watch for day wear. It is sturdy and water proof, which means you can leave it on when you are cleaning. No fear of accidentally drowning your watch. It has a great wrist latch and the only minus is the face. It is just dark enough to sometimes make it hard to read. I love the look, just have to be very careful of seeing the right time. Otherwise I would have given it a 5 star rating.

Bought this watch for my mother in-law as a gift for anniversary. The watch came with all the appropriate documentation (warranty card, manual). The watch looked better in person than the pictures show. Simple yet classy. I was proud to have given as a gift.

I look for practical watches with a sweep second hand and clearly marked hours. I want it to look good and I want to see the time easily. It should also look good. This watch does all those things very well. The mother-of-pearl face is a slightly iridescent blue-grey. The combination of gold and silver means the watch goes well with all my jewelry. It is very comfortable to wear.

I ordered this watch from someone other than Amazon (just saw it online for a low price, and grabbed it), and I love it. The dark mother-of-pearl face is basically a slate blue-gray color which shines up in shifting iridescent lavenders and turquoises in the light, and the two-tone silver and gold stainless steel case makes it wearable with any jewelry. I have no trouble setting or reading the date. I liked this style enough that I bought another similar Seiko Coutura in silver and rose gold, with small diamonds on the bezel and a white mother-of-pearl face (think it's #SXDB12), which I also love.

I really want to love this watch. It looks great, but my issue is that is scuffs and scratches up so easily- definitely not the level of quality I was expecting (especially for this price range). I had been hoping to hold onto it for a long time, but at this rate, I don't expect it to last me very much longer.
